Bright Scooters Subscription Terms & Policies

Welcome to Bright Scooters! These terms govern the use of our scooter rental subscription services, including cancellations, refunds, payments, and privacy policies specific to our subscription plans. Please read these policies carefully before signing up for any of our subscription services.

1. Subscription Terms & Conditions

1.1 Overview of Subscription Plans

By subscribing to one of our plans (Basic Adventure, Enhanced Explorer, or Premium Voyager), you agree to the terms below:

  • Basic Adventure: 10 scooter rentals/month.

  • Enhanced Explorer: 15 scooter rentals/month.

  • Premium Voyager: Unlimited scooter rentals/month.

Subscription services include:

  • Free hotel delivery the night before your reservation begins.

  • Insurance Included: $5/day insurance is included in the Basic Package. The total cost of $450 includes this insurance.

  • Flexible rental days and rollovers (depending on the plan).

1.2 Automatic Billing

  • Subscription payments will be charged automatically every [X period] (monthly, quarterly, or yearly, depending on your selection).

  • Payments are processed securely via Square and Squarespace Payments. Stripe is also available as an option.

  • In the case of failed payments, access to scooter rentals will be suspended until the payment issue is resolved.

1.3 Subscription Management

  • You can manage your subscription, including billing information, through your account dashboard. This allows you to update your details and view your rental history.

1.4 Scooter Delivery & Usage Terms

  • All scooters are delivered fully charged with a charger and new batteries.

  • AIR TAGS are equipped on all scooters for added security and tracking.

  • Delivery Schedule: We drop off scooters the night before your reservation date. Early use of the scooter before the start of your reservation will result in an additional daily charge.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

2.1 General Cancellation Terms

  • Subscriptions can be canceled at any time through your account.

  • To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, cancellations must be made 7 days prior to the next billing date.

2.2 Mid-Month Cancellations

  • Basic & Enhanced Plans: If canceled mid-month, a prorated refund will be provided based on the number of unused rentals.

  • Premium Plan (Unlimited): No refunds will be provided for the unlimited package.

2.3 Long-Term Subscription Cancellations

  • If you prepaid for a long-term subscription (e.g., 6-month plan), a prorated refund will be issued for the unused months minus any applied discounts.

2.4 Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of cancellation and may take an additional [Y days] to reflect in your account, depending on the payment method used.

3. Payment Information

3.1 Recurring Payments

  • Payments are processed automatically on a recurring basis based on your subscription plan.

  • Charges will be billed to the payment method provided during sign-up via Square or Squarespace Payments (Stripe optional).

  • Failed payments will result in service suspension until the payment issue is resolved.

3.2 Optional Add-Ons

  • Optional add-ons, such as extra accessories, will be available at checkout, with additional fees included in your recurring payments.

  • Insurance is included in the Basic Package and also included in the Enhanced and Premium Packages.

4. Privacy Policy (Subscription Specific)

4.1 Information Collection

  • We collect name, email, phone number, payment information, and location details for the purpose of processing subscriptions and fulfilling scooter rental services.

  • Your information will be used solely for subscription management and service fulfillment and will not be shared with third parties except for payment processors.

4.2 Data Security

  • We use industry-standard encryption and secure systems to protect your personal and payment information.

  • Any updates to your personal information can be made in your account settings.

5. Additional Fees and Charges

In addition to the subscription costs, customers may incur the following additional fees:

  • Missing or Damaged Equipment:

    • Missing Charger: $130

    • Missing Keys: $30

    • Broken Key in Ignition: $150

    • Broken Basket: $50

    • Missing Scooter: $2,500

    • If the scooter is not left at the same place as it was picked up, an additional fee will apply.

  • Excessive damage to any equipment may result in additional charges. Fees for excessive damage will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

6. Hotel Drop-Off & Restrictions

We normally provide drop-off after midnight before the start of your reservation. For hotels with special conditions:

  • Fairfield Inn Marriott: We do not offer delivery to this hotel due to their policies.

  • Restricted Hotels:

    • Grand Californian

    • Disney’s Pixar Place Hotel

    • Disneyland Hotel

    • Tropicana Inn

    • La Quinta Inn

    • Desert Palms

    • Desert Inn

    • Camelot Inn

    • Best Western Park Place

    • Wyndham Anaheim

7. Modifications to Subscription Plans

7.1 Changes to Subscription Plans

  • We reserve the right to adjust subscription plans, pricing, or benefits with 30 days' notice.

  • If the changes affect your current subscription, you will be notified and may cancel without penalty if you do not agree to the new terms.

8. Liability

8.1 Scooter Usage

  • Subscribers are responsible for the safe and proper use of the scooters in compliance with local laws and safety regulations.

  • Any damage caused to the scooters due to misuse may result in additional charges.

8.2 Limitation of Liability

  • Bright Scooters is not liable for any personal injury or property damage caused by improper use of the scooters.

  • By subscribing, you agree to release Bright Scooters from any liability related to the use of the scooters.
